Read MoreIn a small village, Sarika’s dream was simple but powerful: “Every girl in my village should be literate.” However, her family’s worsening financial situation forced her to leave school and work in the fields to support them. Sarika’s dreams seemed to be slipping away until CRY UK stepped in.
When the project team learned about Sarika’s situation, they immediately took action. They spoke with her parents, emphasizing the importance of her education. They also helped Sarika’s mother find a stable job, which took some of the financial pressure off the family and allowed Sarika to return to school.
Thanks to their intervention, Sarika is back in school and focusing on her studies. She’s now working hard to become an IAS officer and is growing into a confident young woman who speaks out on issues she cares about. Sarika dreams of improving the education system for girls in rural areas, aiming to ensure better infrastructure and transportation.
Sarika’s story shows the difference that support and intervention can make. Imagine a world where more girls like Sarika can continue their education and achieve their goals.
You can help make this possible. By supporting CRY UK, you contribute to giving underprivileged girls the chance to realize their full potential. Your donation helps keep girls in school and supports their dreams. Make a difference today and help create opportunities for more girls like Sarika.
